When insuring postal items, the following should be done:-
(a) In addition to the postal fee and registry fee, the advance payment of the insurance fee prescribed by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette from time to time should be affixed. should,
(b) Each insured item must be properly sealed in a strong envelope with a personal seal of the same color and clear lacquer so that it cannot be opened without breaking the seal or leaving any indelible or illegible marks. It should not be a stamp of rupee money or straight curved lines,
(c) The envelope should have black or any other colored border or should be made so that no part of the contents can be seen or recognized from anywhere,
(d) The envelope must be sealed at every joint where it is sealed, the envelope must be stitched with thread or tied with a ribbon, and where there is a knot, the seal must be affixed.
(e) There should be enough space for pasting the post office label and other markings on the envelope.
(f) The price to be insured should be clearly written in numbers and letters without any carems or additions on the envelope,
(g) The sender's name and the recipient's address should be written in the lower left corner of the address. If there is no space in the envelope, it should be filed with the item to be insured in writing on a separate paper.
(h) The sender may affix any label other than a postage stamp not exceeding one and a half inches in length and one and a half inches in width to the envelope.
